Bethlehem, Pa. (February 21, 2016) – The Mount St. Mary's women's tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision to Lehigh at the Lewis Tennis Center on Sunday morning.
Lehigh earned the doubles point with a trio of victories, led by Christina Auyeung and Jamie Campisi, who earned a 6-1 win over Erin Benefiel and Kelly Smith at the top flight. Briana Maravich and Cassidy Cruz topped Brittany Poje and Sruthi Kamprath, 6-4, at No. 2 doubles, and Kirstin Godau and Abby Duddy downed Isabella Draper and Emma Blake, 6-3, at No. 3 doubles.
In singles competition, Auyeung beat Smith, 6-2, 6-0, in No. 1 singles, Cruz topped Poje, 6-4, 6-1, in No. 2 singles and Maravich earned a 7-5, 6-2 victory over Kamprath at the third flight. Campisi downed Benefiel, 6-0, 6-1, at No. 4 singles, Duddy beat Blake, 6-1, 6-2, at the fifth flight and Godau earned a 6-0, 6-2 win over Draper at No. 6 singles.
The Mount returns to action for a match against Presbyterian in Orlando on Sunday, February 28.
