1. Mount St. Mary's saw a late rally come up short in a 76-72 loss at Central Connecticut on Thursday night. Trailing 67-58 with under five minutes remaining, the Mount cut the deficit to 71-70 on a Junior Robinson lay-up with 1:18 on the clock. Down 73-71, the Mount's Gregory Graves had a chance to tie the game with 15 seconds left, but his shot was off the mark, and the Blue Devils made their free throws to seal the win. Robinson led the Mount with 18 points while BK Ashe added 17 points and seven boards in the game.
2. Junior Robinson was named the Northeast Conference Co-Player of the Week on Tuesday. The 5-5 sophomore guard scored a career-high 26 points in the Mount's 66-61 win over Sacred Heart and then followed with the 21-point effort in the win over Saint Francis. Robinson is averaging a team-high 14.8 points in NEC games this season, and overall is averaging 12.4 points and a team-best 3.4 assists. Robinson is averaging 19.8 points over his past five games, scoring 20 or more in three of those contests.
3. The Mount's loss at Central Connecticut dropped the team's record to 3-13 on the road this season. The Mountaineers are 3-4 in NEC road contests.
4. The Mount leads the Northeast Conference in defensive efficiency, allowing 95.1 points per 100 possessions.
5. Mount St. Mary's hosts Fairleigh Dickinson on Thursday, February 25, at 7 p.m. at Knott Arena. The Mount will honor seniors Taylor Danaher, Gregory Graves and Liam McManimon prior to the game.
