ABOUT THE MOUNT
The Mount men's squad is set for its third tournament of the season following competition at the Bucknell and Loyola Invitationals to open the year. Darren Mast advanced the furthest of any Mountaineer at the Bucknell Invitational, reaching the championship of flight 2 singles. The senior topped Eli Cerdan of Saint Francis U, Jake Hirschberg of Colgate and teammate Zachary Burau, before falling in the finals to Bucknell's Max McDonald. At the Loyola Invitational, Louis Tonon and Burau registered a sixth-place showing for the Mount's top finish at the tournament. The duo won a pair of rounds at the three-day event, defeating Brian Hoffarth and Tyler Blessing of Loyola and teammates Mateo DeSomocurcio and Jean Armstrong.

The women's team opened the 2016-17 season with competition at the Bucknell Invitational four weeks ago. Alexa Quintanilla highlighted singles play for the Mount as the freshman reached the consolation finals of flight 1 singles. After falling in the opening round, Quintanilla defeated Saint Francis U's Laura Gutierrez and IUP's Luis Von Agris to reach the consolation championship. In doubles play, Erin Benefiel and Brittany Poje advanced the furthest of any Mountaineer pairing, reaching the consolation finals of flight 2 doubles.
