Fairfax, Va. (April 12, 2015) – Competing on the road for the final time during the regular season, the Mount St. Mary's University women's tennis team fell by a 7-0 margin at George Mason at the Mason Tennis Facility on Sunday.

Despite a number of close matches, the Mount (9-7) dropped the three doubles matches and the six singles matches on the afternoon.

At the No. 3 doubles position, Cassandra Powell (Vienna, W.Va.) and Isabella Draper (West Chester, Pa.) played a back-and-forth match with Mason's Brittany Pilkington and Mina Saygi, but eventually lost by an 8-5 score.

In singles play, senior Danielle Nguyen (Bel Air, Md.) won the first set in her No. 4 match versus Morgan Yang, 6-1. Nguyen could not hold on, however, as Yang earned a comeback victory, 1-6, 7-6 (7-2), 6-1.

Mount St. Mary's will wrap up regular season action at home on Tuesday, April 14, with a match versus Loyola beginning at 3:30 p.m.
