Mount St. Mary's closes out its non-conference schedule at Binghamton on Tuesday, December 29. This will be the fourth consecutive season that the two teams have met. The Mount is 3-2 all-time against the Bearcats.
FIRST FIVE
1. Charles Glover scored 17 points while Gregory Graves added 14 points and seven rebounds, but it was not enough as Mount St. Mary's fell at James Madison, 73-53, last Tuesday. The Mount cut the deficit to 30-26 early in the second half on back-to-back Glover three-pointers. However, James Madison answered with a 17-to-2 run to take control of the game. The Mount forced the Dukes into 24 turnovers in the contest, but shot just 31.1 percent from the field.
2. The Mount forced James Madison into 24 turnovers, the third time this year the Mountaineers have forced a team into 20 or more turnovers. The Mount is fifth in the nation in defensive turnover percentage (25.9), sixth in turnover margin (+6.0) and seventh in turnovers forced per game (18.8) this season.
3. Redshirt sophomore guard Charles Glover has been the Mount's top scoring threat the past two games. Glover is averaging a team-high 19.5 points over the two-game stretch, connecting on 11-of-20 (.550) from three-point range. For the season, Glover is now averaging 7.9 points per game.
4. Gregory Graves had 14 points and seven rebounds in the Mount's loss to James Madison. The 6-7 forward is averaging 14.5 points over the past two games. Over the past eight games, Graves is averaging 10.3 points and a team-high 5.0 rebounds per game.
5. Up next, the Mount opens Northeast Conference play with a four-game homestand beginning on Saturday, January 2nd, against LIU Brooklyn.
