The Mount St. Mary's University men's basketball team faces Elon on Thanksgiving Day at 2:00 p.m. The game is part of the mainland portion of the Battle 4 Atlantis Tournament. The Mount will face either Furman or Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Friday at 4:30 p.m.

1. Mount St. Mary's returns to action on Thanksgiving Day against Elon in the mainland portion of the Battle 4 Atlantis Tournament. The Mount opened the tournament with road games at Washington and No. 10 Gonzaga this past week. The Mount put forth a spirited effort at Gonzaga on Saturday, trailing by 10 early in the second half before falling, 101-56. BK Ashe paced the Mountaineers with 16 points with Will Miller chipping in 13 points.
2. The Mount has faced a daunting schedule so far this season. Mount St. Mary's opened the year with road games at No. 3 Maryland, Ohio State, Washington, and No. 10 Gonzaga. According to kenpom.com, the Mount has played the eighth-hardest schedule in the nation so far this season.
3. Mount St. Mary's has done a great job in the turnover department early in the season. The Mount is averaging 11.3 turnovers per game over the first four game. The Mountaineers have forced the opposition into 16.3 turnovers per game, and are a +5.0 in turnover margin. The Mount is forcing a turnover on 21.7 percent of its defensive possessions.
4. The Mountaineers have been successful at the free throw line this season, hitting 77.3 percent at the charity stripe. The Mount is 32nd in the country in free throw shooting percentage.
5. Up next, Mount St. Mary's returns home for a three-game homestand. The Mount hosts American on Tuesday, December 1, for the home opener. Loyola (Dec. 5) and Bucknell (Dec. 8) round out the homestand.
