The Mountaineers had to the Pacific Northwest for a pair of games this week, beginning with a Thursday night matchup with Washington. This will be the first-ever meeting between the Mount and the Huskies.
FIRST FIVE
1. Mount St. Mary's is coming off a 76-54 loss at Ohio State on Sunday. Junior Robinson paced the Mount with 16 points while Charles Glover added a career-high 11 points off the bench. The Mount used a 12-2 second-half run to cut the deficit to 54-40, but the Buckeyes responded with an 8-2 run to regain control. The Mount opened the 2015-16 season with an 80-56 loss at No. 3 Maryland.
2. This is the first meeting between the Mount and Washington. Mount St. Mary's is 0-3 all-time against Pac-12 teams. Last year, the Mount opened the season with a 78-55 loss at No. 2 Arizona. Mount St. Mary's lost at Oregon, 81-73, on December 28, 2007. and 78-50 at California on Dec. 21, 2001.
3. The Mountaineers are in the midst of a formidable schedule to start the season. The Mount opened the season at No. 3 Maryland and Ohio State this past weekend. After facing Washington, the Mount heads to No 10 Gonzaga on Saturday.
4. The Mountaineers offense relies on the three-point shot. In the two games this year, 46.4 percent of the Mount's points and 46.8 percent of the team's shots have come from three-point range.
