Mount Women's Soccer Faces Final Non-Conference Test on Monday at Navy

MOUNT UPDATE: The Mountaineers play their final non-conference game of the season versus Navy on Monday in Annapolis, Md. Emma Blair leads the Mount's offense with three goals on the year.

LAST TIME OUT: The Mountaineers enjoyed their highest offensive output of the season in a 3-1 victory over Howard on Sept. 19 at Waldron Family Stadium. Junior midfielder Emma Blair scored two goals, including a penalty kick to seal the victory in the 81st minute. Freshman forward Jordan Fine notched her first career goal, and goalkeepers Vicky Cocozza and Rachel Bourne combined for 10 saves on the night for the Mount.

ABOUT NAVY: The Mids have compiled a 3-3-3 record, most recently falling to Boston University, 1-0, on Sept. 20.  Julie Schumacher leads the Patriot League with five assists in nine matches, while Morgan Dankanich has tallied a team-best four goals. So far this season, Navy has beaten No. 24 James Madison on the road and tied Maryland at home.   

LAST TIME VS. NAVY: The high-powered Navy offense picked up a 5-0 victory over the Mount on Sept. 30, 2012 in Emmitsburg. For the Mountaineers, goalkeepers Rachel Bourne and Vicky Cocozza combined for four saves. Five different Mids found the back of the net on the day.

ALL-TIME SERIES VS. NAVY: The Mids have been victorious in all 12 of the all-time meetings. The series began with the Mount's 1-0 road loss in Annapolis in 1995.

UP NEXT: The Mount will have more than a week to prepare for the Northeast Conference opener versus Fairleigh Dickinson on Friday, Oct. 3, at Waldron Family Stadium at 7 p.m.
