Baltimore, Md. (April 2, 2014) – The Mount St. Mary's women's tennis team put together a strong performance in a dominating 7-0 win at Coppin State on Wednesday. The Mount won all three doubles matches and all six singles matches on the afternoon.

Mount St. Mary's (8-8) jumped on Coppin State (1-8) in doubles play with three wins to take the point. At the top flight, sisters Kelly and Jennifer Smith cruised to an 8-0 win for their 11th victory as a pair this season. At No. 2, seniors Liz Rossi and Samantha Pinchoff were 8-3 winners, while Danielle Nguyen and Erin Benefiel won at No. 3 doubles, 8-2.  

The Mount's stellar play carried over into singles action with the Mountaineers winning all six matches, including five in straight sets. Pinchoff won her No. 1 match by a score of 6-0, 6-0, and the rest of the squad followed suit with victories in their respective matches. 

Rossi (No. 2), Kelly Smith (No. 3), Taylor D'Agostino (No. 4) and Benefiel (No. 5) won in straight sets, while Jennifer Smith was victorious in three sets by a final score of 6-3, 3-6, 10-4. 

Next up, the Mount is slated to head to Fairfax, Va. to take on George Mason on Sunday, April 6. First serve is set for noon.
