Emmitsburg, Md. (April 10, 2014) – In the final home match of the season, the Mount St. Mary's women's tennis team was handed a 7-0 loss by visiting Howard on Thursday afternoon at the Mount Tennis Courts on campus.

Mount St. Mary's (8-11) fell behind the Bison (10-3) in doubles play, dropping the three matches. The most highly contested match in doubles came at No. 2 where seniors Samantha Pinchoff and Liz Rossi battled in an 8-6 defeat to Howard's Jessica Josiah and Maame Osei.

Howard won the six singles matches on the afternoon, five of which were decided in straight sets. Pinchoff played a three-set match at No. 1 versus Katelyn Stokes, winning the second set, 7-6 (7-4), before falling in the decisive third set.

The Mount wraps up the regular season with matches at FDU on Saturday, April 12, and at Saint Peter's on Sunday, April 13.
