UMES – 3 p.m.

MOUNT UPDATE: The Mount looks to bust out of a three-match skid that included losses to Saint Francis U and Robert Morris last weekend. In the midst of a five-match homestand, the Mountaineers play their third NEC match of the season on Friday versus Wagner before hosting UMES on Saturday. The Mount's active leader with 39 career singles wins, Liz Rossi is tied for the team lead with eight wins in singles action this season.

LAST TIME OUT: The Mount won at No. 1 doubles and the top two singles flights, but suffered a 5-2 loss at home to NEC opponent Robert Morris on March 16. Kelly and Jennifer Smith battled to an 8-7 (7-3) No. 1 doubles victory, while seniors Samantha Pinchoff (No. 1) and Liz Rossi (No. 2) were also victorious on the day.

ABOUT WAGNER: Wagner won its first three matches of the fall season, but lost its final three matches in October. The match on Friday is the Seahawks' first since Oct. 16 at Monmouth. Sarah Dionisio and Rachel Jurgielewicz picked up four wins apiece in singles during the fall.

ABOUT UMES: The Hawks are 0-4 on the year with two losses to MEAC opponent Delaware State as well as non-conference defeats at the hands of Towson and UMBC.

ALL-TIME SERIES VS. UPCOMING OPPONENTS: The Mount is a perfect 6-0 versus Wagner, including a pair of wins over the Seahawks last spring. The Mountaineers are 2-0 against UMES, most recently defeating the Hawks by a 7-0 count in 2012.

THE SISTERS SMITH: Junior Jennifer Smith and her younger sister Kelly Smith lead the Mount with nine doubles victories as a tandem this season. The duo is 1-1 in NEC play so far this spring.

PINCHOFF FINDING HER STRIDE: Since beginning the season 1-12 in singles play, senior Samantha Pinchoff has turned it around with three wins in her last four matches at the No. 1 singles slot. The senior from Michigan has 36 singles victories in her four-year career.

UP NEXT: The Mount hosts Bucknell on Wednesday, March 26, at 3 p.m.
