Orlando, Fla. (March 7, 2011)--Mount St. Mary's lost to Northeast Conference rival Sacred Heart, 6-1, on Monday morning in Orlando, Fla.

The Pioneers (6-1, 3-0 NEC) swept the doubles matches to take a 1-0 advantage. Emma Haley and Carly Landini were edged 9-8 (7-5) at the No. 3 doubles spot.

In singles play, Renee Deane won in straight sets, 6-4, 6-1, over Delaney Downing at No. 6 singles for the Mount's lone point of the day.

The Mount returns to action tomorrow against South Dakota State.
