Mount Women's Tennis Loses at George Mason, 6-1

Fairfax, Va. (March 25, 2011)--The Mount St. Mary's women's tennis team lost at George Mason, 6-1, on Friday afternoon. Samantha Pinchoff won at No. 2 singles to give the Mount its lone point on the day.

The Patriots swept the doubles matches to take the doubles point and a 1-0 advantage. Emily Bolchoz and Renee Deane fell 8-5 at the No. 1 spot to Kiersten Pappas and Lindsey Gray. Kelly Conroy and Pinchoff lost 8-5 at the No. 2 spot while Carly Landini and Emma Haley fell 8-6 at No. 3 doubles.

In singles play, Pinchoff cruised to a 6-2, 6-3 win over Gray at the No. 2 spot in the order. Bolchoz was edged 4-6, 6-4, 10-7 by Pappas at No. 1 singles while Conroy fell 6-3, 4-6, 10-3 to Alison Wingo at No. 3 singles.

The Mount returns to action on Sunday, March 27, with a 1:00 p.m. home match against Maryland-Eastern Shore.
