Women's Tennis to Play Bucknell on Tuesday

Mount St. Mary's (8-5) at Bucknell (6-5)

Mount Update: The Mount defeated the University of the District of Columbia, 6-1, on March 16, to move to 8-5 on the season. The Mountaineers won five of the six singles matches to cruise to the win. Emily Bolchoz set the pace with a three-set win at No. 1 singles while Kelly Conroy won in straight sets at No. 3. Carly Landini won in three sets at No. 4 while Emma Haley and Renee Deane added straight-set wins at No. 5 and No. 6 singles, respectively.

About the Bison: Bucknell lost to Drake, 4-3, in their last match to fall to 4-8 on the season. Lauren Lucido plays at the No. 1 singles position and has a 15-9 record on the year. Dumitrita Iepuras is the No. 2 player in the lineup.

The All-Time Series: Bucknell has won the past 12 meetings between the two schools and holds a 12-2 lead in the all-time series. The Bison earned a 5-2 win over the Mount on March 24, 2010, at the MSM Tennis Courts in the last matchup in the series.

Last Meeting: Kelly Conroy (No. 3) and Renee Deane (No. 5) won in straight sets, but it was not enough in a 5-2 loss to Bucknell on March 24 last year at the MSM Tennis Courts. Bucknell earned the doubles point by winning all three matches and had straight-set wins in four of the six singles matches to secure the victory.

Bolchoz Among Career Leaders: Senior Emily Bolchoz has moved into fourth place on the Mount's all-time singles wins list. Bolchoz is now 67-32 in her career at the Mount in singles play, including 9-9 this year at the No. 1 spot in the lineup. Bolchoz is 56-24 in singles dual matches at the Mount, good for second on the all-time list.

Bolchoz in Doubles Play: Emily Bolchoz is approaching the school record for individual doubles wins. The senior is 54-36 in her career in doubles play, good for third on the all-time list. Jennifer Sheehe (1991-95) owns the school mark with 58 career doubles victories. Bolchoz is 45-31 in dual matches, three shy of matching Chelsea Johnson (2006-10) for the school record of 48.

Haley Moves into Top 10: Senior Emma Haley has won 49 doubles matches in her career at the Mount, good for fourth on the all-time list. Haley is 9-7 this year in singles play, moving her career record to 40-34 at the Mount.
