LITTLESTOWN, Pa. - Autumn Serruta (Avon, Conn./Avon) finished
fourth to lead the Mount St. Mary's women's golf team to a
second-place standing at the Mount St. Mary's Spring Invitational
on Tuesday.
Serruta posted an 83 on the first day and then registered an 81
in the final round to finish in fourth place with a two-round score
of 164, five strokes behind the medalist. The senior's second round
score of 81 was the third-best score in the rainy conditions.
Megan Corbett (Danbury, Conn./Danbury) also finished in the
Top-10 with a score of 171 while Christina Koerper (Huntingdon
Valley, Pa./Mount St. Joseph Academy), Christina Hall (Wall,
N.J./Wall) and Sarah Roe (Floral Park, N.Y./Floral Park Memorial)
each finished with a two-round total of 181 to finish in 12th
place.
Abbey Fry (Lebanon, Pa./Cedar Crest) (16th place, 185) and
Nicole Fazio (Lower Gwynedd Mercy Academy) (18th place, 194)
competed as individuals in the event.
Robert Morris won the event thanks to three of its golfers
finishing in the Top-3 and all five golfers placing in the Top-11.
The Colonials posted a two-round score of 650, 42 strokes ahead of
the Mount (692) while Saint Francis (Pa.) (703) and Humber (767)
also competed in the event.
Mount St. Mary's concludes its season at the Northeast
Conference Championships at the ChampionsGate Golf Course in
ChampionsGate, Fla., on Apr. 23-25.
