EMMITSBURG, Md. - Towson defeated Mount St. Mary's 7-0 in
non-conference women's tennis action on Thursday.
The Tigers won all three doubles matches to earn the doubles
point. Nisha Shah and Aandria Carr defeated Kelly Conroy
(Tallahassee, Fla./John Paul II) and Samantha Pinchoff (Sylvan
Lakes, Mich./West Bloomfield) 8-7 after taking the tiebreaker 9-7
at No. 3 doubles.
Emily Bolchoz (Tequesta, Fla./Kolbe Academy) was the Mount's
lone singles player to go three sets, falling 6-2, 2-6 and 10-4 to
Carr at the No. 1 single spot.
Mount St. Mary's was scheduled to travel to Saint Francis (Pa.)
on Saturday, but that match along with the Mount men's match
against the Red Flash has been rescheduled for Oct. 23. The Rider
match, originally scheduled for Oct. 23, will be moved to Oct. 24
in Emmitsburg.
The Mount returns to action at home against Delaware State on
Oct. 17. Match time is 1 p.m.
