Hall And Women's Golf Team Establish New Program Records At ECAC Championships

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – Freshman Christina Hall (Wall, N.J./Wall) set a two-round program-record score and finished 27th to help the Mount St. Mary's women's golf team shatter its two-round team total and place 12th at the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championships on Sunday.

Hall recorded the second-best round in program history after carding a 78 on Saturday before notching an 82 for a total of 160, 19 strokes behind the medalist. Hall's two-round score of 160 established a new program standard, breaking Caitlin Fortner's 162 set at the ECAC Championships last year.

The Mount as a team registered its two best scores in program history. After setting a new standard with a 333 on Saturday, the Mountaineers bettered that mark by two strokes with a 331 on Sunday. The two-day score of 664 shattered the squad's two-round record by 20 strokes. The previous mark was set at the Monmouth Invitational on Apr. 1-2, 2007 after carding a 684.

Junior Christina Koerper (Huntingdon Valley, Pa./Mount St. Joseph) posted the second-best two-round total in program history after finishing with a 161 and in 32nd place. The junior shot a 79 in the final round, the fifth-best mark in a single round by a Mount player. Freshman Maddy Martin (LaVale, Md./Allegany) finished in 49th place with a 165, the fifth-best two-round score in program history.

Ananda Rochita (San Francisco, Calif./Lowell) (70th place, 178) and Katie Letsch (Blue Point, N.Y./Baypoint Blue Point) (82nd place, 192) rounded out Mount St. Mary's team players. Megan Corbett (Danbury, Conn./Danbury) (65th place, 175) competed in the event as an individual.

Princeton won the event with a score of 599, 16 strokes ahead of St. John's (615) while Boston College (622), Lehigh (625) and Sacred Heart (631) rounded out the Top-5 teams.

The event marks the debut of new head coach Colyn Keller, who took over the coaching responsibilities after the Bucknell Invitational.

Mount St. Mary's returns to action on Oct. 13-14 at the Holiday Inn Pittsburgh Airport Invitational hosted by Robert Morris.
