Women's Soccer Falls to Wagner, 1-0, in Overtime

The Mount St. Mary's women's soccer team lost at Wagner, 1-0, in overtime on Friday afternoon in Staten Island, N.Y. It is the third straight game the Mount has lost by the score of 1-0. With the loss, the Mount falls to 4-14-0 overall and 2-6-0 in the Northeast Conference.

Wagner's Brooke Keany blasted a shot from 30 yards out in the second overtime that bounced over Mount keeper Anna Lebo's head for the game-winning score. Lebo made 11 saves for the Mount while Ashley Wilson tallied 11 saves to earn the victory for the Seahawks.

The Mount outshot Wagner (2-16-0, 2-6-0 NEC), 19-13, in the game, including 13-7 in the first half. Wagner held an 8-to-7 edge in corner kicks.

Close losses have plagued the Mount in recent games as the team has lost by a 1-0 score in five of the past seven games. In addition, the team is now 0-3 in overtime games this year.

The Mount concludes the 2006 season at Long Island at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday.
