Tyler Long serves as the Director of Baseball Operations for Mount St. Mary's, beginning with the 2025 season.
Long completed his four-year tenure as the Mount’s starting shortstop in 2024, punctuated by the team’s postseason run at the conclusion of the season during the MAAC Championship. He ranks first in the record books with 148 runs scored in a career, while finishing second for hit by pitches and tied for second in walks. Long was named a Second Team All-MAAC selection as a junior.
Graduating with an elementary education and special education degree, he earned experience with nearby Thurmont Middle and Thurmont Elementary school, as well as Annville Elementary School in his hometown. On the coaching circuit, he worked tournaments and camps both at Mount St. Mary’s and at various tournaments in south central Pennsylvania, while also offering coaching lessons as a private instructor.
