Taylor Thames begins his third season as an assistant coach onRob Ryerson's staff in 2012.

Thames has worked with various youth programs in Maryland,Delaware and Virginia for the past five years.  He iscurrently the Assistant Director of Goalkeeping for MSYSA’sOlympic Development Program. Thames has completed the USSF National“C” coaching course and will be working towards theNational “B” license next summer. He is also a FIFACertified Referee.

Thames will complete his in Masters of Business Administrationat the Mount in May 2013.

Prior to starting his coaching career, Thames was a four-yearletterwinner on the Delaware men's soccer team. He played his firstthree seasons in goal, posting a 165 saves (eighth most in programhistory), a 1.67 goals against average and a .740 save percentagein 3123.42 minutes played.  In his junior campaign, he startedall 16 games while registering 82 saves, a 1.90 goals againstaverage and .732 save percentage in 1419.42 minutes. The Frederick,Md., native moved into the Blue Hens defense in his senior year,appearing in 18 games including 14 starts, posted 10 shots anddished out the game-tying assist in the 87th minute of a 3-allstandstill against Drexel on Oct. 8, 2008. He notched his firstcollegiate assist as a goalkeeper in a 3-2 win against Drexel onOct. 26, 2006.
