Steve Morano joined the Media Relations Department as an Athletic Communications Assistant in August 2024.
A 2024 graduate of the Mount, Morano served as sports editor for the Mountain Echo, covering the school's team from the media side. He has also interned with the Frederick Keys and Spire City Ghost Hounds, becoming a scorekeeper for the former in 2024. In 2025, Morano joined the Hagerstown Flying Boxcars of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball as an official scorer. Morano also gained experience with the Emmitsburg News Journal, working as a sports beat reporter.
Originally from Westminster, he graduated from the Mount with a bachelor's degree in history and a minor in communications and is pursuing a master's in sports management at Mount St. Mary's. Morano graduated from Mount St. Joseph High School in Baltimore, Maryland in 2020.
