Joseph Franklin

Joseph Franklin is in his first season as an Assistant Athletic Trainer for Mount St. Mary’s. Franklin will work with the women’s basketball and track & field programs.

A graduate with a master’s degree from West Virginia Wesleyan College in Buckhannon, W.Va., Franklin served as a Graduate Intern Certified Athletic Trainer for the Bobcats. His duties covered rehabilitation and daily maintenance and travel with their Division II football program.

Additionally, Franklin has worked as a Head Athletic Trainer for Lincoln High School in 2017 and as an intern with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2016.

His undergraduate degree was earned at the University of Northern Iowa in 2017. While in Cedar Falls, he was a student athletic trainer for the Panthers, working with football, men’s basketball, women’s volleyball, and many high school and physical therapy clinics.

Franklin is currently certified with his BOC from the Board of Athletic Trainers and is registered in West Virginia as a Certified Athletic Trainer. He also holds a NATA membership, as well as the West Virginia Athletic Training Association.
