Mount St. Mary's University

Joe Sharp was named the Mount's Head Strength and Conditioning Coach in December 2019 after serving as an assistant since 2018. 

A 2012 graduate of Frostburg State where he played football, Sharp has bounced back and forth between Maryland and Texas for his postgraduate education and career. Most recently he spent a year and a half with Prairie View A&M University outside Houston. While there, Sharp served as the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for Baseball, Softball, Women’s Soccer, and Bowling and assisted with football. He also served a two year stint at his alma mater, overseeing programs for four of the Bobcat's programs. 

In 2014, Sharp earned a master's in sport science and nutrition from the University of Texas at Austin. During his time there he worked with Olympic sports for the Longhorns. 

Sharp holds a certification from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (CSCS).
