Mount St. Mary's University

Jakub Deptula joined Mount St. Mary's as the Coordinator of Live Productions in February 2024. In this role, he supervises and runs all athletic broadcasts on ESPN+ and the university's website. 

Deptula comes to Emmitsburg from VMI, where he served as Director of Multimedia beginning in April 2022. He was the Keydets' representative for broadcasting as well, producing shows which also aired on ESPN+. Previous work experience also includes videography work with SHG Sports Production in New Jersey, Paulist Evangelization Ministries in Washington, D.C., Maryland Black Bears Hockey, the Frederick Keys, the Lakewood Blue Claws, Rush Media, and Nowy Dziennik - a Polish-based American news corporation. He also possesses photography experience, working with the New Jersey Jackals and Tower out of Catholic University. 

A  2014 gradaute of CUA, Deptula earned his bachelor's degree in Media Studies and History. He was a member of the Cardinals' swimming & diving teams as well, specializing in the butterfly. In 2020, he earned a second degree in Television and Digital Media from Montclair State University.
