Hilary Bowen begins her first season as an assistant coach underformer teammate Lindsey Munday in 2011.

Bowen and Munday were teammates in 2006 at Northwestern and thenMunday served as an assistant coach in Bowen's final three seasonswith the Wildcats. One of the best players in Northwestern history,Bowen was a key component, helping the Wildcats to four NCAANational Championship titles. She posted 13 goals and four assistsfor 17 points in the 2007 NCAA Tournament, including five goals andtwo assists against Virginia in the championship game to earn theMost Valuable Player award. She then registered 17 goals and sixassists for 23 points to earn her second-straight Most ValuablePlayer nod for the National Championships in 2008. She capped hercareer by posting seven goals in the final three games of the NCAATournament, including five markers in the national championshipgame against North Carolina to earn a spot on the All-Tournamentteam for the third-straight campaign. Bowen ended her career rankedthird all-time in program history for points (299) and goals (219)and fifth in assists. She also holds the Wildcats single-seasonrecord for goals with 81 tallies in 2008.

In addition to her accolades in the NCAA Tournament, Bowen wasnamed an Inside Lacrosse All-American in her final three campaignsand IWLCA All-American in 2008 and 2009. She also excelled inclassroom after being named to the Dean's List for all 12 quarters.Bowen earned the CoSIDA Women's At-Large Academic All-American ofthe Year in 2009, Academic All-American honors in 2008 and 2009 anda spot on the Academic All-Big Ten Conference in her final threeyears.

Bowen was selected as an alternate for the 2009 Lacrosse WorldCup and participated on the US World Cup Training Team.

A native of Rochester, N.Y., Bowen graduated from Northwesternin 2009 with a bachelor degree in human development andpsychological services. She has worked the Amonte Lacrosse SportsCamps for the last five years.
