Mount St. Mary's University

Gunner Lanquist, a four-year veteran of the Mount St. Mary's men's water polo, joins the program as an assistant coach ahead of the 2026-27 season. 

The native of Moorpark, California came to Emmitsburg in 2022. Over the next four seasons, he would play 101 games for the upstart program and tallied 22 goals as a center. Lanquist also stacked the stat sheet with assists, drawn exclusions, steals, and field blocks. 

He graduated in May 2026 from the Mount with a sport management degree.
