Mount St. Mary's University

Fabio Barros joins the Mount St. Mary's women's soccer coaching staff for the 2023 season. He accompanies head coach Melissa Sherwood to Emmitsburg after working on her staff at Saint Peter's University in New Jersey during her time there. 

A decade-long veteran of the coaching circuit, Barros has gained plenty of experience at both the international level and in the Washington D.C. area. More recently, he spent several years in Portugal, working for CS Maritimo, Boavista Porto and C. Condeixa Associacao Cultural E Desportiva Coimbra over a span of three years. 

Stateside, he served as the head coach for club teams include Baltimore Union U18/U19, where he guided the team to a Maryland State Cup Championship, an assistanceship with Harford Community College, and head coaching stints with the Washington Spirit U19 and Notre Dame Prep JV.
