Sara Marin Zinoune, a five year member of Mercyhurst water polo, joins the Mount in her first stint as a coach, beginning with the 2023 season.
Originally from Spain, Marin played for Club Water Polo Castellon in Valencia, being one of six siblings to play for the team. She would go on to coach at that club in various times from 2018-2022.
While at Mercyhurst, she was a two-time All-WWPA Honorable Mention athlete and was a team captain for her ultimate collegiate year. Additional awards received include the 2022 Curtis Robinette Unsung Hero Award, a 2021 All-Tournament Second Team and a four-time ACWPC All-Academic honoree. Marin was also active with Morgan's Message, raising awareness and support for mental health.
