Lydia Lehnert

Lydia Lehnert joined the Mount's swimming and diving program in January 2019 as diving coach.  

A native of Frederick, Maryland, Lehnert competed for the Iowa Hawkeyes, where she was an NCAA Championships qualifier in 2016. She also shared IU's record off the platform (312.20) and ranked 10th off the 3-meter (312.0) upon graduation. A Four-year Letter winner and I-ring recipient, Lydia also earned the PCA Academic Bronze Medallion (3.0 or higher GPA), was a Big 10 Championships Diving Finalist for 2014,2015 and 2016, as well as a U.S. Olympic Team Diving Trials qualifier in 2012 and 2016. 

Over the past two years, Lehnert worked for the Montgomery Dive Club as a coach, working with national level divers and developing training and practice regimens to help these athletes prepare for competitive levels. 

Lenhert attended Urbana High School, where she competed at the regional and state levels in her junior and senior years, and was a county champion as a sophomore. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Iowa in 2017 and is on track to earn her MBA from the Mount.
