Biography
2014-15 SEASON: Swam in nine of the team’s events during senior season with the Mount… Placed seventh on the Mount’s all-time top 10 list for the 100 fly (59.34) from performance at the Northeast Conference Championships… Helped the Mount take first in the 200 free relay and second in the 200 medley relay versus American and Howard… Won the 100 fly at St. Francis Brooklyn… Added a first-place finish in the 100 fly at Rollins College… Posted season-best 50 free time (25.00) at the NEC Championships… One of the Mount’s top performers in the 100 fly, clocking in at 59.34 at the NEC Championships.
2013-14 SEASON: Competed in eight of the team’s nine competitions as a junior… Posted third fastest time in the 50 free (24.37) among Mount swimmers on the season at the Northeast Conference Championships, moving into fourth on the Mount’s top 10 list… Swam fifth-best time on the team this season in the 100 breast (1:10.64) at the NEC Championships… Turned in a time of 1:00.55 in the 100 fly at the NEC Championships… Part of the 200 free relay team that posted a 1:40.12 finish against Loyola… Member of the 200 medley relay, posting a 1:52.90 at the Radford Invitational.
2012-13 SEASON: Kicked off season with a third place finish at the Potomac Relays on the 500 freestyle relay team in 4:48.00 (9-28-12)… Took second in the 100 butterfly in 1:05.89 against Saint Francis U (10-13-12)… Had the team’s top 200 breaststroke finish of 2:38.57 to take second place versus McDaniel and VMI (10-27-12)… Posted a season-best 100 breaststroke time of 1:10.62 at the Northeast Conference Championships (3-1-13)…
2011-12 SEASON: Was the Mount’s top performer in the 100 and 200 breaststroke on the season… Clocked in at 1:09.22 in the 100 breaststroke at the NEC Championships to take fifth in the B Finals (2-24-12)… Part of the Mount’s 200 freestyle relay team that earned Second Team All-Northeast Conference honors with a time of 1:35.12 at the NEC Championships…
HIGH SCHOOL: A four-year letterwinner on the Cardinal Gibbons swim team... Helped her team to the state champion in her first two seasons... Participated on the regional and conference champion teams her junior and senior seasons... Won Rookie Award and MVP her freshman campaign and earned All-Confernce honors in her sophomore year... Named MVP, All-Conference, and All-State in both her junior and senior seasons.
PERSONAL: Majoring in art... The daughter of Jeanne and Timothy Thelen... Anne M. Thelen was born July 26, 1993 in Winston Salem, N.C.
