Kevin FarrellĀ returned to his alma mater for his second stint as head men's and women's golf coach as the program was reinstated in the fall of 2018.

Farrell began his collegiate coaching career as an assistant on the Mount St. Mary's staff during the 2008-09 season before being promoted to head coach the following year. He was at the helm of the Mount golf programs from 2009-12, and led the men's team to its first-ever Northeast Conference Championship and NCAA Regional appearance in program history during his final season of his first stint en route to earning NEC Coach of the Year honors.

During his four seasons as head coach of the Mountaineers, Farrell has mentored and developed five NEC All-Conference players and 14 All-Academic performers.

Farrell went on for a five-year stint as the head men's golf coach at Bowling Green State University, where he coached five All-MAC performers, one MAC Freshman of the Year and nine MAC Golfers of the Week. In 2015-16, Farrell helped guide the Falcons to the lowest 18-hole team score in program history and the second-lowest 54-hole team score at the Joe Feaganes Marshall Invitational.

As a student-athlete, Farrell was a standout on the men's golf team at Mount St. Mary's, serving as team captain for three seasons and earning All-NEC First Team honors during his senior campaign. He holds the Mount program record for lowest 54-hole Northeast Conference Championships score, which he set as a senior.

Farrell graduated from the Mount with a Bachelor of Science degree in business management in 2008.
