Kenneth DeGraaf was announced as the Mount's first-ever head women's bowling coach on February 5, 2018.

Established as a perennial power from the inception of the program, DeGraaf has led the Mount St. Mary's bowling team to the NCAA and USBC tournaments for two consecutive seasons. In the 2021-22 campaign, the team advanced to the Erie Regional Final where they came two wins of the bowling Final Four, battling top-seeded McKendree. That was followed by three postseason wins at USBC's, defeating Duquesne, Delaware State and McKendree. The season as a whole produced more than 80 victories and a .680 win percentage, second-highest in program history.

In the pandemic-shortened 2020-21 season, the Mount received it's first at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament and USBC Nationals. After nearly overcoming two tough draws in Vanderbilt and Nebraska, the squad emerged victories at USBC's against Stephen F. Austin for the program's first win in a national postseason tournament.

DeGraaf was the architect of one of the top stories in college bowling in 2018-19, as he guided a first-year program of all freshmen to as high as No. 19 in the national rankings. In the Mount's first-ever competition to kick off the inaugural season, DeGraaf and the Mountaineers claimed the tournament crown at the Bud Whitman Memorial after going a perfect 5-0 at the event. DeGraaf led the Mountaineers to three more trophy finishes during the regular season as the team finished top-three at the Mount Shootout, the Red Flash Invite, and the Golden Bear Classic. The Mountaineers went a perfect 6-0 at their first-ever conference meet, and finished at 12-6 in league competition to earn the No. 2 seed at the NEC Championship. Following the regular season, DeGraaf was named the NEC Coach of the Year, and also saw bowlers Rebecca Dodson (All-NEC Second Team & All-Rookie Team), Danielle Milo (All-Rookie Team) and Tamera Stanton (All-Rookie Team) garner conference accolades. In postseason competition, DeGraaf helped lead the Mountaineers to victories over a pair of top-10 nationally-ranked squads in Saint Francis U and Fairleigh Dickinson, before they eventually fell to Sacred Heart in the Championship Round. DeGraaf's bowlers claimed a total of seven NEC Rookie of the Week Awards throughout the season, which was the most for any team in the league.

In his second season, the Mount's bowling squad orchestrated an electric finish to the 2019-20 campaign. Following a respectable 40-28 start, the team went 33-5 to conclude the year, winning three tournaments, including the Red Flash Invitational, one half of Molloy's Bowl for the Cure and the James Brown Invitational. The Mount finished 73-33 before the season was cut short due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. Rebecca Dodson and Tamera Stanton continued their impressive career with the team's first All-American nods. Dodson took home a NTCA Third Team All-American recognition while Stanton received an honorable mention from the NCBCA - one of only three NCAA bowlers to be listed. The duo was also acknowledged by the NEC as part of their All-Conference honors, with Dodson making the First Team and Stanton earning a Second Team placement. As a unit, the team soared to No. 12 in the national ranking and in RPI.

DeGraaf came to the Mount following a stint as the assistant women's bowling coach at fellow Northeast Conference member Saint Francis U, where his responsibilities included helping recruit student-athletes, coordinating travel arrangements and budgeting throughout the season. During the 2016-17 season, DeGraaf helped lead SFU to a 75-47 overall record as the Red Flash reached the national rankings.

DeGraaf was a standout in both the classroom and the alley as a collegiate bowler at Siena Heights University in Adrian, Mich. He earned Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference All-Academic Team and National Ten-Pin Coaches Association Academic All-American honors each year from 2013-16. A two-time team captain, DeGraaf earned Siena Heights Male Bowler of the Year honors and captured two individual titles in his collegiate career, becoming the first male bowler in school history to place first individually.

DeGraaf graduated from Siena Heights University in 2016 with a bachelor's degree in sport management and a minor in journalism. As a senior, he was named the Siena Heights Business Student of the Year. DeGraaf completed his MBA from Saint Francis U in 2018.
