AS A JUNIOR: Ran in the 400m and 500m dash during the indoor season, posting best 400m time at the NEC Indoor Championships...Also ran the 60m hurdles with her best mark also coming at NECs... Member of the Winter NEC Academic Honor Roll.
AS A SOPHOMORE: Was 4th in the 400m hurdles at the Eric Kloiber Invitational...Had her best time of the year in the 400 hurdles at Bucknell...Her top 100m hurdle result was at the NEC Championships...Indoors, ran the 500m and the 60m hurdles.
AS A FRESHMAN: Indoors, ran the 400m and 500m dash during the season...Had best 400 time at the Navy Invitational while her top time in the 500 came at the Navy as well...Outdoors, ran the 100m hurdles and the 400 hurdles...Her top times in each event came at teh NEC Championships.
HIGH SCHOOL: Participated in cross country and track at Long Reach High School... Served as captain her junior season for cross country and was captain for the track team her junior and senior seasons... Won County Title for track her senior year, and also placed second in the regionalss, and third in states... She participated in AAU Junior Olympics in the 4x800, where she placed eighth... She also served as golf captain her senior year.
PERSONAL: Parents are Sandy and Al Vanagas... Has one sister, Michelle... Born May 29, 1992... Was the Valedictorian of her high school... Is currently majoring in chemistry.
