Biography

2017 SEASON:  Named the Northeast Conference Player of the Year...The first Mount player to ever earn NEC Player of the Year honors...First Team All-NEC at catcher...Also named Second Team All-ECAC and Third Team All-Region at the catcher spot...Started all 51 games, hitting .407 with 15 doubles, 17 home runs and 56 runs scored...Finished sixth in the nation with a .860 slugging percentage...Led the NEC with her .407 average while she was second with 17 home runs...Finishes career as the Mount's all-time leader in home runs (43), runs scored (128), total bases (327) and RBI (121)...Also in the top 10 all-time at the Mount in games played (7th, 177), batting average (.331, 6th), slugging percentage (.690, 2nd), hits (157, 3rd), doubles (35, 2nd), walks (61, 4th) and stolen bases (32, 6th)...Her 17 home runs are the second-best single-season mark at the Mount behind her school-record 19 last year...Went 3-for-3 with three home runs, four runs scored and six RBI in the Mount's 17-3 win over UMBC...The three home runs tied the Mount's single-game record...Had 14 games with two or more RBI...Went 3-for-4 with four runs scored in 18-0 win over Coppin State...Hit a home run in three consecutive games two different times during the season...Her 56 runs scored and 129 total baes each set a single-season record at the Mount.

2016 SEASON:  Had record-breaking season for the Mount as a junior...Smashed both the Northeast Conference and Mount St. Mary's single-season home run record, hitting 19 on the year...Named First Team All-Northeast Conference at the Utility position after splitting time between catcher and the outfield...Went 50-for-144 (.347) with 12 doubles, 19 home runs, 44 runs scored and 19 home runs...Named NEC Player of the Week on three occasions...Led the conference in slugging percentage (.840)...Hit three-run walk-off homer to give the Mount an 8-7 win over Sacred Heart (4-10-16)...Added a two-run walk-off homer to lift the Mount to a 4-3 win over Wagner (5-7-16) in final game of the regular season...Had back-to-back games with two home runs against Coppin State (3-22-16) and Morgan State (3-24-16)...Went 7-for-10 with five home runs and eight RBI in three-game win over Coppin State (3-22-16) and sweep of Morgan State (3-24-16)...Homered in each game of the Mount's sweep of Wagner (5-7-16)...Led the team with 12 stolen bases...Had 14 games with two or more hits...Scored two or more runs in a game 11 times...Had home runs against No. 21 Minnesota (2-26-16), BYU, No. 10 James Madison (3-4-16), Towson (3-18-16), and Georgetown (4-6-16), among others...Homered in four consecutive games (both games at FDU (4-2-16), at Georgetown (4-6-16) and vs. Sacred Heart (4-10-16))...Now has 26 career home runs, setting the Mount's career record...Hit .452 (19-for-42) with five home runs, six doubles and 17 RBI in 16 NEC games....Had a .589 on-base percentage and a .952 slugging percentage in league games.

2015 SEASON: Appeared in 38 games with 34 starts during sophomore season… Started 15 games at third base, eight in right field, five at catcher, five as the designated player and one in left field… Third on the team with a .278 (25-for-90) batting average… Posted a team-best .533 slugging percentage… Led the team with six stolen bases… Tied for 10th in school history for single season home runs with six… Had 19 RBIs and 13 runs scored… Hit a three-run home run versus Coastal Carolina (2-27-15)… Went 2-for-3 with a double against Saint Joseph’s (3-1-15)… Posted three hits, including a home run, to go with three RBIs and two runs scored in a sweep of Coppin State (3-25-15)… Recorded a three-run home run as part of a 3-for-7 showing in a doubleheader at Robert Morris (3-29-15)… Helped the Mount defeat UMBC with a three-run homer in game two of a twinbill (4-21-15)… Secured a seven-game hitting streak in late April… Hit a seventh inning grand slam to defeat Wagner in game two by a 4-3 margin (4-25-15).

2014 SEASON: Played in 38 games with 32 starts as a freshman… Started 23 games at catcher and nine as the designated player… Posted a .233 batting average (21-for-90)… Finished second on the team with five stolen bases and tied for second with 15 runs… Added 13 RBIs, three doubles and one home run… Went 2-for-3 at Jacksonville (2-27-14)… First career home run was a grand slam in a win over Toledo (2-28-14)… Posted a 2-for-2 performance in a win against Temple (3-2-14)… Registered two RBIs and scored two runs against UMass-Lowell (3-15-14)… Knocked in two runs in a victory over UMBC (3-23-14)… Recorded a walk-off single in the bottom of the seventh of game two to help the Mount sweep Sacred Heart (4-5-14)… Went 3-for-3 with one double and one triple in a win over Howard (4-8-14)… Secured two hits and one RBI in a win against Wagner (4-19-14). 

HIGH SCHOOL: Played four years of varsity softball at St. Mary’s Ryken High School under coach Jim Sewell… Was a two-year captain as a junior and senior... Named team MVP and All-Conference First Team in the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference in 2012… Picked up All-WCAC Second Team honors in 2013... Led the WCAC in home runs and was third in the county in home runs… Also played three years of volleyball... Two-year captain and WCAC Honorable All-Mention in 2010 and 2011... Named team MVP in 2011… Was also a member of the National Honor Society. 

PERSONAL: Born February 17, 1995… Daughter of Diana and George Heinze… Has an older sister, Erica and an older brother, George… Majoring in psychology.
