Mount St. Mary's water polo has announced the addition of Ivan Zivojinovic as assistant coach for the upcoming 2025 men's season and 2026 women's season.
Zivojinovic comes to Emmitsburg with a plethora of experience in the sport of Water Polo. In the United States, Zivojinovic was apart of the Salem University team that played in the first round of the 2024 NCAA Men's Water Polo Championship against UCLA. During the 2024 campaign, Zivojinovic recorded 56 goals and 19 assists in 25 games played for the Tigers.
While at Salem, Zivojinovic was named to the MAWPC West All-Conference team and All-Tournament team on two occasions. He was also named to the Western Water Polo Association's All-Conference and All-Tournament second team in 2023.
Before his career at Salem, Zivojinovic had a standout career in his home country of Serbia, playing domestically at the youth level for VK Banijca, VK Stari Grad, and VK Partizan, the most successful water polo team in Serbia.
Zivojinovic graduated from Salem with a bachelor's degree in data science and a master's degree in data analytics.
