2015-16 SEASON: Tied for second on the program’s all-time list for most doubles victories in a single season (19) … Tied for sixth on the program’s all-time list for most sinlges wins in a season (20) … Led the teams in singles wins … Finished tied for second on the squad in doubles victories … Posted the sixth-highest win percentage (.690) in singles among all NEC players … Finished with the highest win percentage (.700) at the No. 3 singles spot in the NEC … Posted a 20-9 record in singles and 19-8 mark in doubles on the season ... Named to the Academic Honor Roll
2014-15 SEASON: Posted a team-high 15 doubles victories with a 15-8 record as a sophomore… Compiled a 9-13 singles record on the year… Recorded a 7-7 singles mark in singles matches and a 2-6 mark in tournament play… Went 2-0 in No. 4 singles matches and 5-7 at No. 5 singles… Combined with sophomore Darren Mast to go 10-2 in doubles matches… The duo went 2-0 at the No. 2 doubles slot and 5-2 at No. 3… The Tonon/Mast pairing won the B Flight doubles bracket at the Mount St. Mary’s Invitational... Member of the Northeast Conference Academic Honor Roll.
2013-14 SEASON: Went 6-9 in singles play and 12-14 in doubles, playing most of the season at No. 1 doubles with Peter Salomon… Went 6-12 in No. 1 doubles matches… Won A Flight for doubles in first collegiate action at the Mount St. Mary’s Invitational while playing alongside Salomon… In singles, was 4-3 on the season at the No. 6 slot... NEC Academic Honor Roll honoree.
HIGH SCHOOL: Two-sport athlete at Charlotte Latin School… Played four years of varsity tennis and three years of varsity basketball… Two-year captain of the tennis team under Head Coach Tim Wilkison… All-Conference performer… Helped tennis team finish top eight in the state as a freshman and sophomore… Basketball team also placed in top eight in North Carolina as a junior.
