Recent Mount St. Mary's tennis standout Jean Armstrong joins the coaching staff as a graduate assistant for the 2020-21 season.
Hailing from Puerto Rico, Armstrong competed for the Mountaineers for four seasons. As a senior, he won his first five singles matches, finishing with 15 total for the year. During the year, he was Mount's male student-athlete recipient of the PNC Achiever Award.
For his Mount career Armstrong is listed in the school's record book three times. He ranks second in tournament doubles wins with 20 and tied for fifth for both career and season doubles team tournament wins.
He graduated in 2020 with a bachelor's degree in marketing and is pursuing a masters degree at the Mount.
