2012 SEASON: Started all 17 games on defense for the Mount… Fired two shots… Earned a spot on the Commissioner's Honor Roll and the NEC Academic Honor Roll.

2011 SEASON: Appeared in 11 games, including five starts as a freshman... Made collegiate debut in the starting lineup in a 1-0 loss against UMBC on Aug. 27, 2011.

HIGH SCHOOL: A three-year letterwinner on the Mount St. Joseph... Served as team captain in his senior campaign... Named to the All-State second team, MIAA first team and All-Conference in his senior year... Helped his team to the MIAA title and ranked No. 15 in the nation in 2009... Participated on the squad that went to the MIAA finals in 2008 and the MIAA semifinals in 2010.

PERSONAL: Currently deciding on a major... The son of Karen and Dave Smoot... Brett D. Smoot was born on Feb. 7, 1993 in Baltimore, Md.
