Biography

AS A GRADUATE STUDENT:  Started all 15 games on the Mount defense, leading the squad with 50 ground balls...Tallied a pair of goals and tied for the team with 14 caused turnovers on the year...Earned a spot on the MAAC All-Academic team...Named to the MAAC All-Tournament team after picking up four ground balls in the Mount’s 5-3 loss to Manhattan in the semifinals...Had seven ground balls and four caused turnovers in the Mount’s 7-6 loss to Bryant...Scored in the Mount’s 9-3 loss at Canisius...Also scored on senior day in the Mount’s 13-3 win over Wagner...Had six ground balls against Virginia, Georgetown and VMI.

AS A SENIOR:  Played two games with the Mount before suffering season-ending injury...Scored in his Mount debut against Bucknell...Transferred to the Mount after Butler discontinued lacrosse. 

AS A JUNIOR (at Butler):  Started 11 of 14 games...Dished out two assists...Third on the team with 53 ground balls. 

AS A SOPHOMORE (at Butler): Started eight of the 12 games...Had a team-high 44 ground balls...Played both defense and in the midfield...Had an assist at Air Force...Won three of seven face-offs.

AS A FRESHMAN (at Butler): Appeared in 10 games...Scored one goal on two shots...Had 17 ground balls.

HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered four years in both lacrosse and football...aA All-County and Academic All-County selection in 2003...Received the Nolan Award and was named to the Nassau County Exceptional Senior Lacrosse Team...Football team won the Long Island Class II Championship in 2001...Honor roll student.

PERSONAL: Born February 21, 1985...Son of Kevin and Laura Flanagan...Graduated with a degree in physical education at Butler...Working on his master’s in education at the Mount.
