Biography

AS A JUNIOR:  Earned All-Northeast Conference honors for the third straight year by finishing in sixth place at the NEC Championships with a time of 25:53.9...Was the Mount's top runner in all seven events, including the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional...Finished in 119th place at the regional with a time of 33:17 for the 10-kilometer course...Had best time of the season at the Princeton Invitational...Finished in 10th place at both the MSM 5K Duals and the CCSU Blue Devil Invitational.

AS A SOPHOMORE:  Earned All-Northeast Conference honors with his ninth-place finish at the NEC Championships...Had a time of 26:49.4 at the NEC meet...Finished in the top 17 runners in five meets, including a seventh-place finish at the NEC Championships and an eighth-place mark at the MSM 5K Duals.

AS A FRESHMAN:  Finished in fifth place at the NEC Championships to earn All-Northeast Conference honors...Named NEC Rookie of the Week on two occasions....Opened collegiate career with an 18th-place finish at the MSM 5K Duals to earn NEC Rookie of the Week...Was also the NEC Rookie of the Week after finishing 10th at the Towson Invitational...Had best time of the season at the NEC Championships.

HIGH SCHOOL: Participated on both the Cross Country and Track teams at Urbana High School...A part of seven time winning County Champion Cross Country Team...Helped his team get 3rd place at States in 2006...In his junior year he was the 1 mile and 2 mile County Champion for Track...In his senior year he won 2nd place at States for Cross Country...He also placed 52nd in Cross Country at the Northeast U.S. Regional Qualifier.

PERSONAL: Parents are Barbara and Jon Bernard...Has one sister, Emily...Born April 10, 1990...Majoring in computer science
