Jone Zabaleta joined the Mount St. Mary's cross country and track & field staffs beginning with the 2023 season.
Originally from Spain, Zabaleta arrived stateside to pursue a Master's degree from Eastern Kentucky University, which was completed in 2023 with a degree in Exercise and Sports Science. In 2021, Zabaleta earned a double degree in sports science and physiotherapy from Universidad De Lleida.
Work experience Coach Training for EKKE Gym in Lleida from 2019-21, a pollster in Gizaker, Azkoitia from 2016 to 2020, and serving in a variety of interships, practicing physiotherapy in Spain.
