Catie Jaskowak is in her first season as an assistant coach for the Mount's cross country and track and field teams.
A Saint Francis University graduate, Jaskowak was a standout distance runner in both cross country and track and field during her career with the Red Flash. She was a part of the 2016 Northeast Conference Cross Country Championship team, and she achieved All-Conference honors in the fall of 2018, helping her team to a runner-up finish. In cross country, Jaskowak was consistently one of the Red Flash's top scoring women.
Scoring in multiple track events at both the Indoor and Outdoor NEC Championships, Jaskowak was an invaluable asset to the Red Flash. At the indoor championships, she was known for competing in the 3,000m, 1 mile, and distance medley relay and scoring in all three events. Her junior year, Jaskowak led her team with the most scored points from her three events, which included a third place finish in both the 3,000m and DMR and an eighth place finish in the mile.
During outdoor track, Jaskowak specialized in the 3,000m steeplechase. In the spring of 2017, she was the NEC Steeplechase Rookie of the Year. Jaskowak was the steeplechase runner-up at the 2019 Outdoor NEC Championships, and earlier that season, she broke the steeplechase school record for the Red Flash at the Colonial Relays at the College of William & Mary. Jaskowak still holds the school record today. Overall, she resides on the Red Flash's "Top 10 All Time" performance list in the steeplechase, 3,000m, DMR, and 4x800m.
As a student-athlete for the Red Flash, Jaskowak was a leader on the track and in the classroom. She achieved NEC All-Academic Honors all four years at Saint Francis, she was the President of Sigma Tau Delta, the International English Honor Society, and she was accepted to the Sigma Tau Delta 2020 National Convention. Jaskowak was the recipient of the 2019 Kathryn and James Weixel Award for excellence in English, and the 2020 Saint Francis University English Department Award. While at Saint Francis, she also worked as a tutor in the Writing Center and actively taught students in the classroom.
Jaskowak earned her B.A. in English, with a concentration in Secondary and Special Education in 2020, before beginning her journey at the Mount, where she will also pursue a Master's Degree.
Jaskowak is the daughter of Chuck and Anne Jaskowak. She has two older brothers, Brother Maximilian Maria (a Dominican friar) and Daniel, an older sister Mary, and a younger brother Charlie.
