AS A FRESHMAN:  Ran cross country,helping the Mount to a second-place finish at the NECChampionships...Indoors, ran the 1000m and 1600m, postingseason-best time in the 1600m at the NEC Championships...Outdoors,ran the 800m and the 1500m.

HIGH SCHOOL: Ran on both the track and crosscountry teams at Urbana High School...Was a state finalist forcross country in 2007...Competed in the state championships intrack and field in the 4x400 and 4x800 as a senior.

PERSONAL: Parents are Susan and JohnStakem...Has one sister...Born on May 17, 1990...Majoring inSecondary Education.
