Cal Berman joined the coaching staff for Mount St. Mary's baseball in 2022.
Berman played under Leoni at Marymount, competing in 83 contests with the Saints until graduation in 2019. As a sophomore, he batted .294 in limited action while eclipsing an OPS over 1.000. Doubling his game total as a junior, Berman enjoyed his most productive season by logging 19 hits including seven for extra bases. He also showed patience at the plate, drawing 24 free passes.
His coaching career prior to Emmitsburg includes a brief stint with UMass Boston this past spring, and work with travel ball at the Braintree Baseball Club.
