Matta is one of the top pitchers in the Mount books, holding career marks for appearances (96) and saves (24) while he is second in career wins (19).  He was instrumental in helping the Mount to a program record 35 wins in 2007, finishing 4-3 with a 2.37 ERA and eight saves.  A second-team All-NEC selection as a senior, he finished his career with a 19-14 record and a 3.62 ERA.   Matta appeared in 22 or more games in each of his four seasons with a career-best 26 appearances in 2010 (2^nd-most in a season at the Mount).
