Unrestricted gifts are most critical to Mount Athletics. These dollars provide our athletics director the flexibility to allocate to the area of biggest need within the department. Unrestricted support helps areas of need including: Strength & conditioning, sports medicine, sports nutrition, and academic support/advising All of these areas require additional resources in order to provide our student-athletes with the necessary tools to reach their full potential in the classroom and in competition. Utilizing the best and most technologically advanced training tools is crucial to achieving excellence in competition and in the classroom.
Varsity Program Support
You can always restrict your support to a specific varsity program, whether you are an alum, parent, or fan of a particular sport, you may direct your contribution to a varsity program of your choice. Mount St. Mary's Athletics prides itself on enabling our nearly 500 student-athletes to grow spiritually, intellectually, emotionally, and athletically. In addition to supporting the 24 intercollegiate varsity athletic programs, there are other areas of need that provide daily assistance to our student-athletes throughout their quest for excellence.

Endowments:
"MOUNTIE…FOR LIFE"
Endowments are a great way for donors to leave a lasting legacy on Mount St. Mary's athletics, and to provide a perpetual source of funding for scholarships and our varsity programs. Pooled and invested, an endowment provides long-term security and annual income for the University. The principal is invested, and the income is then used as part of the University's annual budget or to fund specific needs. Examples include endowing head coach and administrative positions.
Facility Improvements:
When you walk the campus of Mount St. Mary's University, you appreciate the history as you pass Memorial Gym and reminisce about the 1962 National Small College Basketball Championship. When you pass through Echo Field in front of the Seminary, fond memories of men's lacrosse defeating Notre Dame As you stroll through the tunnel on your way to the ARCC and Waldron Family Stadium, you remember playing in conference playoff games and NCAA tournaments. With each facility, field, pool, or stadium, a story is told linking the past to the present while serving as the building blocks for the future. Thanks to donor support, we constantly improve our student athlete experience through facility upgrades.
