Biography

AS A SENIOR:  Broke 13 school records while earning Third Team All-America honors by Ping!Baseball his senior season...Hit .377 with 20 home runs and 64 RBI on the year...Set school single-season records for slugging percentage (.736), hits (80), home runs (20) and RBI (64)...Named NEC Tournament MVP after breaking NEC Tournament records for RBI in a game (six) and series (12)...Hit .458 with eight runs scored and four homers in the NEC Tourney...Signed with the Kansas City Royals in June after the season...Went 5-for-7 with a home run and two RBI in the NCAA Tournament...Finished career as the Mount's all-time leader in games played (195), at bats (690), runs scored (131), hits (231), doubles (60), home runs (44), RBI (175) and total bases (423)...Had 24 multiple-hit games on the year...Ended career on a 14-game hit streak, going 28-for-61 (.459) with seven home runs and 22 RBI in that stretch.

AS A JUNIOR:  Named Second Team All-NEC at the designated hitter spot...Hit .275 with a team-high 12 home runs on the season...Tied for the NEC lead in home runs...Was 57-for-207 at the plate with 14 doubles, 42 runs scored and 44 RBI...Led the team with 29 walks...Went 3-for-5 with a home run and four RBI in 16-4 win over Quinnipiac...Hit .302 with eight home runs in NEC games...Had 16 multiple hit and 13 multiple RBI games...Started all 57 games on the year...Had five games with three or more RBI...After a slow start to the year, hit .333 with 10 home runs, 33 RBI and a .685 slugging percentage over the Mount's final 30 games.

AS A SOPHOMORE: Had solid second season at the Mount, leading the team in average (.340), runs (31), hits (55), doubles (20), home runs (7), RBI (39) and slugging percentage (.593)...His 20 doubles set a new single-season record at the Mount and led the Northeast Conference...Was 4-for-5 with a double, home run and four RBI in home win over Coppin State...Was 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI in win at Georgetown...Had three hits and three RBI in loss to Canisius.

AS A FRESHMAN: Named to the 2005 Louisville Slugger Freshman All-America Team after hitting .358 in his rookie year...Named the Northeast Conference Rookie of the Year as well as Second Team All-NEC in the outfield...Was 39-for-109 (.358) at the plate in 37 games (33 starts)...Added five home runs, 10 doubles and 28 RBI on the year...Finished fifth in the NEC in batting average...Was 4-for-4 with two doubles, a home run, three RBI and four runs scored in the Mount's 12-10 win over Wagner...Named NEC Rookie of the Week (April 11)...Went 4-for-5 with two double and three runs scored in 14-13 win over Monmouth...Was 17-for-41 (.415) over his final 12 games of the season...Hit .386 in NEC games with 15 RBI and a .614 slugging percentage.

HIGH SCHOOL: Named First Team All-Carroll County, First Team All-MVAL, and First Team All-Area by the Baltimore Sun as a senior...Hit .390 with nine doubles, three home runs and 21 RBI as a senior for Liberty High School...Helped lead team to a 20-3 record and the state title...Also earned second-team All-Carroll County honors in basketball.
