ERIE, PA (September 27, 2026) – The Men's water polo won both their games today with a 20-17 win over Penn State Behrend and 24-8 win over Mercyhurst. The Mount's record for the season is now 6-8.
 
It was a whole team effort today during both games as many players were able to record at least one goal in either game. Leaders for today's duo of games were Aleksandar Radosavljevic and Luka Urosevic. Radosavljevic scored a total of 12 goals, six in each contest, while Urosevic scored a total of ten, four in the game against the Lions and six in the game against the Lakers. Three players scored their first goals of the season  in today's games which were Israel Bratton, Ivan Morales, and AJ Waldfogel.

In the first quarter of the game against Penn State Behrend, Radosavljevic started the scoresheet for the Mount, followed by one goal from Urosevic and one from Darrion Phelps to put them tied with the Lions 3-3 at the end of the first. Then the Mount in the second found the back of net four times. The goals came from Radosavljevic, Matias Miranda, Will Matthews and then Max Economy to finish the half down 9-7 to the Lions.
 
For second half, the Mount became electric in their rally with eight goals scored in the third and then five in the final quarter to bring the Mount to win the game 20-17. In the third, Nathan Valentine found the back of the net to start the tally of eight. Other goals that followed were three by Radosavljevic, two from Urosevic, one from Matthews and one from Phelps. The Mount was up 15-13 going into the fourth. Goals in the fourth came from Matthews, Radosavljevic, Urosevic, Bratton and Aaron Tarr to sustain the win against the Lions. Goalies Milan Miskolczi, Matthew Royer and Linc Smith all received playing time in this game.

In the first quarter against Mercyhurst, the Mount started off strong with six goals scored compared to two coming from the Lakers. Urosevic started the scoresheet in this game with two goals, then followed by a goal from Radosavljevic. Urosevic then completed his first hat trick of the game followed by goals from Jack Fox and Bratton. This sent the Mountaineers up 6-2 into the second quarter. Opening the second, Matthews found the back of the net. Five more goals came from Mountaineers in the second, with Radosavljevic recording two, Phelps recording one, Giannis Skliras with one and Morales' first goal of the season after serving as goalie in previous games. The Mount go into the half up 12-4.
 
For the second half, the Mount scored a total of 12 more goals, four coming in the third and eight in the fourth. The four goals in the third came from Urosevic (1), Radosavljevic (2), and Tarr. The Lakers only scored four in the third, then were held scoreless by the Mountaineers in the final corner. The Mount would go into the final quarter up 16-8. The goals in the fourth came from Radosavljevic (1), Urosevic (2), Tarr (1), Giacomo Graff (1), Waldfogel (1), Skliras (1), and Fox (1). The Mount defeated the Lakers 24-8 with phenomenal team efforts. Miskolczi served as goalie, recording a couple of assists in the game.

The Mountaineers will compete next against Concordia University Irvine on Thursday October 1^st, then head to the Gary Troyer Tournament to compete on Friday October 2^nd and Saturday October 3^rd. In this span of three days, they will play a total of five games.
