EMMITSBURG, MD (September 18, 2026)- Mount St. Mary's men's water polo returns to action at the Bucknell Invitational this weekend, where they will play a total of three games across the two-day span. The Mount will face Fordham and MIT on Saturday September 19, then face LIU again on Sunday September 20th.
 
MOUNT UPDATE
The Mountaineers split their games at the Princeton Invitational to create a 2-2 record there making their overall record 3-4. The Mount fell to Princeton and St. Mary's, who are both ranked, while besting Iona in a thriller and downing LIU on the first day at the invitational. Each game was a whole team effort, with Luka Urosevic recording 12 goals during the Invitational, five of them coming in the game from Iona. Neven Cerkez also had a good weekend, recording the winning goal against Iona as well as earning seven assists over the three-day span.
 
Along with Urosevic and Cerkez, Aleksandar Radosavljevic, Giannis Skliras, as well as Aaron Tarr had a good weekend. Radosavljevic recorded six goals off 18 shots, Skliras recorded five goals out of 15 shots, and Tarr recorded four goals out of 14 shots. Giacomo Graff was also able to score his first two collegiate goals over the weekend, one in the game against LIU and one goal against Princeton. Max Economy was also able to add his name to the scoresheet, scoring his first goal of the season against Princeton. Another player who scored their first goal of the season over the weekend was Nathan Valentine. Linc Smith and Ivan Morales both got starts in goal as well this weekend, with Smith recording ten saves and Morales recording eight over the weekend. Milan Miskolczi started the LIU game, recording 16 saves.
 
Both losses were to tough defensive teams, who are also ranked in the CWPA as now #8 Princeton and St. Mary's who is ranked as #20. The Mount looks to earn more wins the weekend.
 
UP NEXT
The Men's Water Polo team will travel to Erie, PA for the Laker Invite, where they will play four games over a two-day span, two on Saturday September 26^th and two on Sunday September 27^th.
