PRINCETON, NJ. (September 13, 2026) – Mount St. Mary's men's water polo split their final day of away games at the Princeton Invitational with a 17-16 win over Iona and 18-5 loss to Princeton. With the split, the Mountaineers move to 3-4 for the season.
The Mountaineers found themselves down 12-11 at the halftime break, with four goals from
Luka Urosevic, two goals from
Jack Fox,
Aaron Tarr, and
Aleksandar Radosavljevic as well as a solo goal from
Giannis Skliras. For assists,
Neven Cerkez recorded two, while solo assists came from
Nikos Agritelis, Radosavljevic, Fox, and Tarr.
Ivan Morales logged one save in the first half of game one.
Tight play between the Mountaineers and the Gaels continued in the second half, with the two teams battling out a 6-4 half win, in favor of the Mount. Urosevic continued his first half scoring adding one more goal, off an assist from Tarr, to his game tally of five. Tarr and Skliras also logged one second half goal each, Tarr's completing a hat trick.
Nathan Valentine then was able to add his name to the scoresheet towards the end of the third and then scoring again in the fourth to give him two goals on the day.
Neven Cerkez made the winning shot to push the Mount into a 17-16 win over Iona.
Linc Smith went in to relieve Morales, recording seven saves during the second half of the game. Tarr and Radosavljevic also had other assists recorded in the game as well as assists from
Will Matthews, Urosevic and
Giacomo Graff who each had one.

The Mountaineers head into the game against undefeated #12 Princeton after a great win. However, the Mount was held scoreless for the entire first quarter while battling Princeton's tough defense. In the second there are goals scored by Radosavljevic and Urosevic, who both had to fight through the tight defense to score. The Mount went into the half losing 10-2.
Going into the third, Graff was able to add his name to the scoresheet to score his second collegiate goal to make the score 15-3 going into the final quarter. In the fourth,
Nick Harper and
Max Economy were able to add a goal each to make the final score, Mount losing 18-5 to Princeton. Smith recorded three saves in game two and three assists in this game were recorded, one each for Valentine, Morales and Skliras.
